The company began by producing a single full scale musical production each summer with local professionals and local actors. In 2015, Adaire Theatre launched their youth programs and now produces theatre productions year round and offers educational programming throughout the fall and spring school year. Adaire Theatre educational training can range from 90 minute workshops to full and half-day masterclasses and even multiple day residencies.
Educational Program Description
The Adaire Theatre performing arts program provides students with the opportunity to engage the mind, the body and emotions into a collaborative expression guiding students towards a path to their own personal success. Through study and performance, students explore and present expressive themes and ideas.
Students will discover their own voice, grow in confidence and develop empathy and ethical insight into the contradictions and paradoxes of the human condition. Students grow in understanding of what it means to not only be human, but to be good, noble, honorable, kind and compassionate.
We believe that theatre and performance can be used as a challenging, creative and meaningful way to help students believe in who and what they are. Adaire Theatre’s goal is to motivate students to find their inner strength instilling core life skills such as leadership, self-expression, tolerance and active listening through a supportive, play-centered environment. We provide a stimulating learning environment with personalized curricula that promotes confidence and encourages children to reach their full potential.
