About the Artist/Ensemble

Roanoke Ballet Theatre is Roanoke Valley’s premiere professional ballet company. RBT’s mission is to enrich the soul of the community through the beauty of dance, and we are proud to bring ballet performances and educational experiences to our Roanoke and the rest of Virginia as a VCA Touring Roster Artist.

RBT produces high-quality, professional dance performances. Members of RBT’s Company have undergone years of extensive training and many have danced professionally with other companies at a variety of levels. RBT’s repertoire include classics like “The Nutcracker,” “Giselle,” and “The Sleeping Beauty” and new contemporary works and original story-ballets such as the riveting “Dracula,” whimsical “Snow White,” colorful “Alice in Wonderland,” and more. Roanoke Ballet Theatre’s productions are rooted in the technical rigor of classical ballet with soaring jumps and intricate pointe work. RBT balances history with modern interpretations and story telling to engage and delight today’s audiences of all ages.

Roanoke Ballet Theatre also builds relationships between the art of dance and new audiences by performing in nontraditional venues and creating interactive dance experiences for people of all ages and abilities. RBT’s school is committed to nurturing the next generation of artists through excellent, holistic dance training in Roanoke.
