The Roanoke Symphony Orchestra, western Virginia’s professional symphony orchestra, continues to receive standing ovations and critical acclaim, as well as sold-out concerts. Under the baton of music Director David Stewart Wiley, the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra has earned a reputation for its distinctive programming, performances of traditional repertoire, and Pops concerts featuring the best in jazz, rhythm & blues, and country music performed by high-profile guest artists.

Concert/Performance Description

The Roanoke Symphony Orchestra produces six Masterworks programs between September and June. Masterworks programs can be presented on tour in your community with a range in ensemble sizes and prices.

These programs include works by masters of classical repertoire including Mozart, Beethoven and Brahms, blended with more contemporary composers such as Stravinsky, Bernstein, and Copland. The Roanoke Symphony Orchestra also offers choral programs such as Handel’s Messiah in collaboration with community choruses, rehearsing and performing with professional musicians of the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra. Other orchestral programs can be tailor made for your community.

  • Evening Masterworks Concert from $12,500
  • Roanoke Symphony Orchestra Afternoon Masterworks Concert from $7,500
  • Chamber Ensemble* from $750
  • Education Program* from $750

* Pops Concert varies depending on guest artists

Block-booking discounts are available. Rates will depend upon distance from Roanoke, number of musicians required by concert repertoire, solo guest artist fees, etc. Performances that are not repeats from the regular Roanoke Symphony Orchestra season (i.e., Web: www.rso.com specially requested stand-alone concerts) will be billed at a higher rate due to additional rehearsals for the orchestra.
