About the Artist/Ensemble

The Guitar Renegades are a guitar quintet comprised of Cristian Perez (founder/leader), Connor Holdridge, Jan Knutson, Parker Spears, and Tommy Holladay.

Although they’re all jazz guitarists at heart, they venture into repertoire as diverse as Bach, Simon & Garfunkel, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jobim, The Beatles, etc. They balance intricate arrangements and ensemble parts in the style of a classical guitar ensemble with improvised sections using a jazz aesthetic.

Concert/Performance Description

Concerts are all instrumental featuring the 5 guitarists playing together and occasionally breaking down into smaller duos/trios.
Some background on the pieces are given in between pieces, depending on the venue/type of performance.

Technical Requirements

All musicians bring their own amplifiers.

5 regular armless chairs and a talking mic (or 2).

Educational Programs

For educational programs, the group can go in a few different directions depending on the audience.

-Talking about different music played and background on each style.

-Talking about the arrangements and how 5 guitars work together.

-Talking about different techniques used on guitars, and how each of the 5 guitarists add their own style.

Fees

Fees depend on the location, but our minimum is approximately $1,000.
