About the Artist/Ensemble
The VSO strives to engage and educate a broad audience, helping ensure Hampton Roads remains a vibrant, culturally rich community through our diverse programming. As one of Hampton Roads’ flagship artistic institutions, we offer high-quality orchestral concerts, as well as music education and community engagement performances in local schools and community centers. These activities engage residents, provide inspiration, and offer education and entertainment to 100,000 people annually.
Each season, the VSO performs 150 concerts and small ensemble performances in 18 different cities and counties throughout Southeastern Virginia. These include mainstage performances such as the Classics series, the Pops! series, and the Peanut Butter & Jam family concert series. The VSO also offers 26 full-orchestra Young People’s Concerts in 11 school districts, coaching sessions for underserved students led by professional musicians, and free public performances.

- 3-Day Residency from $65,000
- Full-Orchestra Classical concerts (Age 7+) from $15,000
- Full-Orchestra Pops concerts (Ages 7+) from $15,000
- Young People's School-Day concerts (3rd-5th grade) from $15,000
- Family concerts (Age 2+) from $12,500
- Chamber Orchestra concerts (Age 6+) $10,000
