Example Website Language

To help launch your offerings for the Passport Program and promote it on your website, the VCA has drafted the language below. We invite you to edit and personalize the language to reflect your organization’s specific information.

Organization is thrilled to participate in the Virginia Commission for the Arts’ (VCA) Passport Program, an arts-access initiative created in collaboration with the Virginia Department of Health (VDH). Through the Passport Program, recipients of Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) benefits in Virginia can access discounts at participating arts and cultural organizations across the Commonwealth.

At Organization, Passport holders receive free admission to all performances, as well as 50% off fees for any of our classes. In order to redeem this discount, Passport holders simply show their WIC card at the guest services/welcome desk when entering.

Final Report Guidance

The VCA requests that participating organizations submit a final report at the end of each fiscal year. We will ask for data on how many people have utilized Passport Program discounts (to the best of your organization’s ability to track that information) as well as any anecdotes about the Passport Program.
