The Virginia Commission for the Arts maintains an approved Roster of Touring and Teaching Artists from across the state. Each artist on the Roster has been carefully vetted through a state-wide Advisory Panel review and Commission Board approval, ensuring a diverse representation of talented professionals from various disciplines. These artists bring extensive experience and creativity to their craft, offering dynamic and high-quality arts programming.
Virginia nonprofit organizations; federally tax-exempt schools; and units of local and tribal governments are invited to apply for Virginia Touring Grants or Arts in Practice Grants to bring VCA Roster Artists to their schools or communities. These non-competitive, rolling grants are available throughout the year and provide financial support for booking VCA artists.
Are you a Virginia artist who is interested in sharing your artform across the Commonwealth? The VCA is actively seeking professional artists who are experienced in their fields to carry out Virginia Touring and Arts in Practice activities. This is a competitive process and artists awarded inclusion to the Rosters receive a funding allocation to support Virginia Touring or Arts in Practice grant activities.
