Paul Reisler & Three Good Reasons

Paul Reisler & Three Good Reasons | Original Songs and Instrumentals

About the Artist/Ensemble

“His songs climb up the Blue Ridge and down to the bayou and back up the Himalaya’s.” – The Washington Post

“Reisler’s talents are many and his creativity, vast. Not too many people can do what he can do, bring the spirit of music and creating to new generations, opening up one of the most important doors there is. He is a national treasure.” – Robert Fritz, composer and author of Creating and The Path of Least Resistance

Best known for his years as the founder and leader of Trapezoid, the leader of A Thousand Questions, Music Director of Ki Theatre and as the Founder and Artistic Director of Kid Pan Alley, Paul Reisler has an exciting new collaboration—Paul Reisler & Three Good Reasons. The trio features vocalist Lea Morris and sax virtuoso Marshall Keys. Together they create an intimate and entertaining evening of Paul’s songs and instrumentals.

Over the past 45 years, Paul has performed in over 3,500 concerts and recorded dozens of albums, written Aesop’s Fables for Orchestra and Narrator, music for numerous plays and films, and 2 musicals. He has written more songs than the Beatles, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, and Stephen Foster combined—somewhere north of 3,500 compositions thanks in no small part to his 65,000 short collaborators as well as a handful of Grammy winning co-writers.. His songs have been recorded by artists including Raul Malo, Darrell Scott, Sissy Spacek, John McCutcheon, Corey Harris and Jesse Winchester.

Lea Morris is a singer and songwriter whose “soul-folk” blends gospel, jazz, country and R&B with authentic, thought provoking song craft. She recently won the prestigious Bernard Ebb Songwriting Competition.

Esquire Magazine said, “Marshall Keys’ dulcet tones and earthy compositions conjure the spirits of jazzmen past and future. From mainstream to contemporary, from bebop to hip-hop, he plays the saxophone with a sense of grace and emotion that is wholly without cliché.”
